and if it's crap I'm never taking advice from this site again.

1.30hrs to go and unlike our previous breadmaker, there is no window to check on progress. Could have gorn blue for all I know.

mine have all gone off homebaked bread. So I now use mine to make dough for rolls which are almost as easy as a loaf and theres less waste.

I am also still completely useless at slicing evenly despite having made a loaf almost every day for about 2 years.

I used to do pizza dough in my old breadmaker that was quite popular. I've always wanted to make croissants but it's such a bloody faff!

agree about the croissants. Love them though, would be very tempted if someone designed a croissant maker that you could just throw all the ingredients in.

You can lift the lid and peek in - don't do it once it's baking though or the temperature will drop.

I look in and watch it kneading, sometimes.

Not enough to do, me

it will be fabulous - have faith.

pizza dough also good in the Panasonic. We eat an awful lot of bread-based meals in this house!

MyEye · 05/03/2008 16:49

the DCs love to watch the kneading. It has inspired The Breadmaker Dance: lots of violently throwing themselves about, then collapsing to the floor and lying there motionless for a bit.

It was a heavenly loaf. And that was only the Rapid Bake. We've just eaten almost the entire medium-sized loaf, still warm and smothered with butter!

I'll do a full size loaf tomorrow and see how that turns out.

Happy so far!
