We’re not all eating master chef meals every night! Or pan frying gnocchi! What are you real people eating?
sat - batch cooked spaghetti Bol and frozen garlic bread
sun - popcorn chicken, fries and corn on the cob from the freezer
mon -frozen chicken Kiev. new potatoes and frozen peas
tues - takeaway as I have a late finish
fri - bacon pasta pesto.
I don’t want to read inspirations posts with amazing recipes, I want quick meals I can hustle together in less than half an hour, please!

Spaghetti bol (batch cooked so just needs defrosting).
Pork chop, frozen vegetables and new potatoes.
chilli and jacket potato (batch cooked already)
Chicken and tomato sauce (will make a large portion and freeze some) with pasta and garlic bread (airfryed baguette with homemade garlic butter).
Pan fried chicken, with wedges and frozen vegetables,

Lunches are leftovers or Beans/ scrambled egg/tomatoes on toast or Jacket and beans.

im a disabled single parent so although I liked to cook its now difficult so have lots of basic slow cooked foods that i batch cook and so if I'm ill one of the teenagers can warm something up. Lots of frozen vegetables etc.

Stir-fry random veg (peppers, cabbage, runner beans, etc) with shitloads of chilli and garlic, dump in noodles, finish with soy sauce and spring onion, ready in 10 minutes tops.

I'm a real person and I love fried gnocchi! It takes five minutes and is delicious.

We eat meat or fish with veg or salad. The easiest of dinners.

It's talked about all the time on here but the roasting tin books are great. Really easy food, no processed shit.

Last few days
Pasta with tomato beef sauce (marmite makes the difference!)
Old potato, broccoli which needed to be used "frittata"
Freekeh stuffed chicken on potatoes (admittedly that's not quick meal but easy to prep)
Sauerkraut with chicken and potatoes
"paella" with extra veg, prawns and fish

Just want to add we are mixed nationality household. Most of these can be easily done in half an hour and 4 are basically one pot meal, which I am big fan off.

A real meal for me is pan-friend gnocchi 😂

I love cooking, and rarely do 'basic' but for me it's therapeutic at the end of a long day but that doesn't mean they're not easy to cook.

Pan frying gnocchi is one of my standard midweek suppers...! Dinner in 10 minutes.....

Racingadmin · 19/09/2023 09:17

This weeks meal plan (we have older teens who eat with us probably 3 dinners a week )

Teriaki salmon ( ready made sauce), express rice and broccoli

Pulled pork ( ready made) , jacket potato , corn cob

Rump steak , potato gratin (ready made) , peas

Batch cooked spaghetti bolognaise

Batch cooked beef stew with aunt Bessie dumplings

Sausage, mash and peas

Chicken Kiev ( ready made), potato wedges and frozen spinach

Gimmeallthefood · 19/09/2023 09:20

@Racingadmin swap the rice for potato mash with wasabi sometimes. It's 5* with teriyaki salmon and broccoli
