sounds stupid - recipe for chocolate rice krispy cakes?

ones i've done in the long distant past for dh have always completely failed to stick together. would like to try making them with my 2yr ds and would appreciate any advice/recipes you have. Cheers.
(Feel a complete pillock having to ask for this, we have made pizza together, ice cream and banana cake, but I have no clue about rice krispy cakes!!!!)

Get a large bar of chocolate, break into small pieces and melt in microwave if you keep an very close eye on it or alternatively in a bowl over a pan of warm boiled water. When all melted pour in rice crispies and mix until all coated with chocolate adding a few more crispies if needed. Put into paper cases put out of reach and allow to cool. Lick the bowl

Will go and check mine for you but it includes butter,syrup and cocoa and they are absolutely fab.
It's in the Jeanette Orrey book if anyone has one handy.

I think the sticking together issue is probably because you have too many crispies and not enough chocolate. Do as smurfs says but add the crispies a bit at a time and mix them thoroughly so you can see how much chocolate is left before adding more.

And as it's almost easter, you're legally obliged to add a cadburys mini egg on top while the choc is still wet!

OK chaps

55g butter
115g golden syrup
55g drinking choc (I used cocoa so not quite as sweet)
3tbs milk
Vanilla essence
115g rice crispies

Melt butter,add syrup and boil for 1 min take off heat
Add sifted cocoa,mix well adding milk and vanila to taste.

Fold in rice crispies bit by bit and hey presto-yummy sticky,chocolatey crispy cakes!

I doubled the recipe and made LOADS!

I use melted mars bars, works really well.

Mmmm-I use melted mars bars and double cream for ice cream sauce-only when I am on a diet of course

Melt some marshmallows into the chocolate mix as well....mmmm mmmm mmmmmm
