Just that really. Ended up with an unexpectedly high number of apples (about 100) and looking for some inspiration on recipes that can be frozen / preserved!

another cake suggestion! This time a take on sticky toffee pudding, absolutely delightful!! I haven't frozen this, but have frozen other sticky toffee puddings and caramel sauces with no issue so can't see why this wouldn't work.

sirup house — Sticky apple caramel cake

This consists of a soft apple and oat cake, slightly acidic apple caramel and runny whipped cream. TIme : 1,5 hours total (15 to make the cake, 30 to bake, 20 to make the caramel) Serves : 10

I peel, slice and cook them in a little bit of water. Freeze in freezer bags and have apple crumble throughout winter, and apple on yoghurt with a drizzle of honey or some seeds for breakfasts.

Like @Justbetweenus I make up batches of stewed apple or combinations of apple with plums/raspberries/peaches/blackberries/blueberries whatever I have to hand and then freeze them. I also make up batches of shortcrust pastry and crumble topping and freeze those. Then if I want a quick pudding I just assemble and cook.
