Has anyone got a really good chocolate muffin recipe please?

I have lots of recipes but none of them have provided good results.

I am a very confident baker and make all types of exotic cakes, breads etc but need a simple, tasty and great recipe for choccie muffins as my son adores them!

Thanks

OK (recipe from Susan Reimer book) 9oz (255g) plain flour plus 2 tsp baking powder (or use self raising and NO baking powder) Half tsp bicarbonate of soda Half tsp salt 4 - 6oz fine white granulated sugar (I use 6 ) 3 -5 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (I use Green & Black's organic) Plain chocolate chips (optional but yummy) Mix all that in a bowl In another bowl An egg beaten Tsp Vanilla Essence (use good vanilla essence, it makes a difference IMHO) 3 fl oz (90ml) vegetable oil (or can use same of melted butter) Mix the wet ingredients together Than add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stir to mix (try not to overstir) Fill muffin cases 3/4 full and bake for 20 - 25 minutes at Gas mark 5 -6, or 374 - 400 F or 190 to 200 C I put oven on before I start preparing to make sure its good and hot and they take 20 mins enjoy

this is form a book i lost

there are LOADS INT HE FRIGGING ARCHIVES
