Will this frozen soup be ok?

Yorkshire provender roast chicken soup (chilled tub)

I froze it in March and forgot about it. Will it still be ok to use? The packaging says to use within a month if freezing…

Cook and sniff it. Think it will be fine.

I go by the one month rule if I freeze it myself.

I never pay the slightest attention to the 'use within a month if frozen' stuff. I'd use it without a second thought.

Same here, I disregard all dates on food, they should remove them. Just use your eyes and nose to check

If something has been frozen, I pay no attention to how long it's been there for.

I've had batch cooked meals in my freezer for over a year and they've been fine when reheated.

It's possible there might be a bit of a change in texture in food that's been in the freezer a long time, so I probably wouldn't serve it to guests, but food safety of soup in the freezer for a few months is not a concern for me at all.

Once something is frozen I consider it to be frozen in time so would just eat it whenever it defrosts. I've never had food poisoning yet.
