Ok, I have braising steak, stilton, mushrooms and puff pastry.

How do I turn it into pie?
And.... I don't have a pie dish and couldnt find one in the shops. What does a pie dish look like?

You don't need a pie dish, you could do a beef wellington type thing and just wrap the ingredients in the pastry, like a big rectangular pasty.

ok.....
for the simple minded!.... The braising steak is in chunks - is that ok? I guess I brown it and then.... I've got some red wine, does that help at all?

Yes you could braise it in wine first, with the mushrooms, then reduce the sauce chuck it onto the pastry, cheese on top, wrap. Bung in oven and congratulate oneself on supreme cleverness.
