Any suggestions.

Got friends who love curry coming round for tea on friday after work but I won't have much time to prep and cook. Ideally something I'm not faffing around with at last minute.

There's some lovely slow cooker recipes on bbc. Do you have a slow cooker?

This one is an absolute piece of piss. No browning of meat or onions, literally just bung it all in slow cooker and let it do it's thing. I don't bother with the overnight marinate and it still tastes delicious.

My fav is chicken. chick pea and cashew with peppers etc. So filling and so quick.

Shwartz slow cooker chicken curry. 4 hours on high in the slow cooker it's delicious and the meat goes so soft. Not quick but def low effort just chuck it on and let it do it's thing til it's ready xx

If you want to cheat, these jars are amazing. They sell them in my local coop. I have done them for friends and they have gone down very well 👌

Hi @BarrelOfOtters
I made this the other day, not a curry but tastes lovely!
In a frying pan add:
2 chopped onions
Couple of teaspoons of salt
Teaspoon of cumin seeds
Couple of cloves of chopped garlic and a bit of chopped ginger
Teaspoon of tumeric powder
Fry the above off with a bit of oil (i use veg oil).
Once done, add 5 chopped potatoes and 6 chopped mix peppers (green, red, yellow) the core of the pepper can be thrown away.
Let the above simmer for 15 mins or so and check if it's done, if not let it simmer for a bit longer.
The above can be eaten with a chappati or naan bread.
Have a lovely time!! Xx

Pic below! Xx
Also, when you're doing the onions bit you can add a bit of chilli if you like!

I'd honestly use a jar

Patak paste pots

I would use pastes, takes a huge amount of time out of the process. Add fresh coriander at the end though.

I often make a chicken thigh and pepper curry using jalfrazi paste plus a roughly chopped onion and a can of chopped tomatoes (plus water as needed). For a creamy curry korma or tikka paste plus coconut milk is lovely, I often use frozen white fish as it holds its integrity better than fresh (odd but true) and curry leaves give it that South Indian flavour.

For a quick side gently fry quartered brown mushrooms and a medium onion chopped until cooked, add tikka paste, fry one minute, add a little water to loosen and chopped coriander.

Yeah, I'd use something like the Tailor ones which are really good or just a jar. I do red Thai style curries a lot with just a red curry paste and maybe a bit of extra chilli or ginger. A paste and a tin of coconut milk go a LONG way in my experience! Grin

Make it tonight and heat it up?
