Matar Namkeen / spicy green peas

I came across this recipe.

https://nishamadhulika.com/en/1859-spicymatarr_namkeen.html

I hope it might be a decent high protein savoury snack.

Tesco has dried chick peas, not dried green peas.

I also hoped it might be a good air fryer recipe.

Does anyone have any other/easier recipes for this? Or experience of this in a air fryer?

I’ve never made them but do buy them ready made from the Indian shop or world foods aisle when I see them. Obviously they’re not that healthy when deep fried but I think it would work with chick peas in an air fryer. Chickpeas aren’t expensive so not a disaster if it went wrong.

I've tried them, but it means a trip to the dentist when bits of my teeth break off !

It's not quite the same, but yes, I would make with chickpeas and roast rather than fry (or you could air fry, I'm sure). I make spicy chickpeas often, but with tumeric and smoked paprika too. I use tinned beans not dry, but you could use dry if you prefer due to cost.
