What are your favourite marinades?

We’re about to go away on a self catering holiday where we’ll do a lot of bbqs, but feelings bit uninspired by our usual options, so interested in different marinade options that might give a bit more variety. I’m thinking particularly for chicken but open to hearing about any - and either home made / store cupboard ingredients and shop bought pre-made options.

Soy sauce, grated ginger, brown sugar, optional sesame oil. Delicious!
Olive oil, lemon zest, mixed herbs from the garden, cumin seeds (more a rub than a marinade)

I love the marinade for these chicken tikka skewers www.sainsburysmagazine.co.uk/recipes/mains/chicken-tikka-kebabs
I also do this salmon a lot www.ainsley-harriott.com/recipe/bbq-salmon-with-caribbean-couscous/ I haven’t been able to track down the couscous mentioned so I use Ben’s microwave Caribbean rice.

Thanks all, these all sound great! Might need to do a bit of pre-mixing rather than take my entire spice cupboard on holiday with me!
