Remember them when growing up in the 70's.

I haven’t seen a Toast Topper in the wild since the 1980s or thereabouts.

my favourite flavour too !!!!!!!!! Loved it even though it would burn the roof of my mouth off !

@AutumnCrow - I’m sure I had them growing up in the 90s so they must have still been roaming freely then

I remember a friend having one of these at uni and saying it was like sick on toast. The birds enjoyed it though. Reformed Ham sounds very grim. 🤢

Dread to think what was in them but they were tasty if you could overcome eating beige food. Same with sandwich spread, whatever that was!

I love sandwich spread! I often have it on whole meal bread with lots of cucumber.

I assume it's a warning not to buy or eat them because of the crap they contain ?

Sandwich spread is basically just minced coleslaw.

Sandwich spread is my guilty pleasure. On a slice of white Warbies.

Loved the mushroom toast topper.

My weekly meal plan in the 80s:
M - supernoodles
T - spam and baked beans
W - cornflakes
T - toast toppers, loved all flavours
F - 1815 train home to Mum

Oh op…..not had or heard of toast toppers but ALL I can think about now is beef paste on white bread. I’m going to have to go to the shop now to see if they have any 😂

Potted beef! Lovely - did anyone else have it in those jars with a layer of beef fat on top?
When I was a student I had those toast toppers. Constituted an appropriate student meal.
One bloke in my halls used to eat sugar sandwiches. Just sugar on white bread!

Bad news : toast toppers have been discontinued for a long time now.
Good news : there's a petition to bring them back!

What do you have in mind, @LadyVictoriaSponge - a sort of Just Stop Oil protest?

Isn't it easier to just make your own over-salted bechamel sauce with some ham in it than to glue yourself to the road?
