What sort of budget?

My go to emergency meal is anchovy pasta - for 4 adults cook wholemeal spaghetti, then sauté a finely chopped onion, garlic to taste, a finely chopped chilli (seeds removed if preferred) 2 cans anchovies, oregano, olive oil then add can of chopped tomatoes and a heaped spoon of capers. Just before serving add freshly chopped parsley, toss in pasta. To reduce cost use dried chilli flakes, frozen crushed garlic.
