Slow cookers for vegetarian meals

Just wondering if slow cookers are any good for veggie dishes, or if they are really just a meat thing? Is there much difference between cooking veggie stews and casseroles in them/the hob or oven? Browsing on Prime Day and have seen a smallish one which is quite good value. Or would it just be destined to clutter up the cupboards?

I use it for days when we’re out all day but want a hot meal asap when we get home.

It works well for lentil stew, Dahl, veggie chilli, lentil bolognaise. Occasionally jacket potatoes but they don’t come out amazing.

i don’t think it’s as good for veggie meals as meat ones but I’ve had it a couple of years and still use it most weeks in the winter.

Veg chilli and Moroccan chickpea stew are two I do quite often.

I love jacket potatoes done in a slow cooker! They’re my staple to make and take to work the next day for my lunch. Slow cooker butternut squash curry is lovely too, anything with chickpeas etc as they turn to a lovely texture

I'm veggie and in colder months I use mine several
Times a week. It's a god send when we both work shifts and have a busy schedule as it requires a bit of prep night before and very little effort on the day.

Mine doesn’t get much use, sadly, but I do a nice shepherd’s pie filling in it using Quorn mince.
