Anyone know how to make buttercream cake filling?

Im making some cakes and couldnt get any filling so going to try and make some, anyone have a recipe, preferbly chocolate please

it's just softened butter, a little bit of vanilla extract(the good stuff) and icing sugar. For choc add cocoa powder.

btw, you really only need a tiny bit of the extract

Opps just checked i have no icing sugar, can i make anything to fill a cake without it???

50g of unsalted butter. It should be soft but not melted.

Put it in the food mixer bowl and whip it until it is starting to fluff up.

Use about 100g of icing sugar (best) but you can use caster or granulated.

You also need about 2 egg cups full of vegetable oil.

Alternately add the sugar and oil with the mixer on high speed until it goes white and fluffy.

Add cocoa or drinking choc to taste to make it chocolatey.

Oh yeah didnt think of jam, not sure how well it would go with chocolate tho? No friendly neighbours unfortunaltme but i will try with castor sugar as suggested by pacific thankyou

do you have any chocolate spread? We put that in the middle of choc cake sometimes. Jam is good as well though.
