receipe on TV was much more robust, actually rolled little balls then pressed with a fork iykwim

Not her recipe but these would do the job. Just make the mixture a tiny bit stiffer than normal and roll into balls and flatten with a fork before baking.

Thanks carmenere when you say make a bit stiffer, should I jhust add a bit more flour?

More flour or icing sugar would do it, actually icing sugar would be better I think

yes...and would you bake for less time, too, as it will be little balls slightly pressed down as opposed to a 7inch cake tin?

Yes, with small biscuits I always just go by repeatedly checking them as my oven is unreliable.
