Food label readers over here please - a question about yoghurt (and sex)

You know those fantastically delicious bio yoghurt pots (Onken, Yeo Valley, Rachel etc) I've always assumed they were rather healthy and then I noticed how much sugar they carried - 14%. Is it lactose and therefore inevitable given that they're made of milk products. So the question is - are they just pretend healthy and I shall have to give it up and eat some sour stuff instead.

PS: I made it up about the sex. Sorry.

oooh, that was a dirty trick!

I have taken to buying the "cheap" 35p yogurt pot economy brand. My take on this is that because they are sooo cheap they don't actually stick anything else in them and are just basic yogurt! Yes it is a little sour, as yogurt should be

Some other branded yogurts do add sugar - cos it makes them sweeter and you will want more...so will buy again, but this isn't how yogurt should taste.

Eyes down and you will see the cheap economy supermarket own brand in the chiller - try it and see.

I suppose I could buy them and add my own fruit.
And I suppose the live aspect is just a marketing ploy.

No it is a big pot for 35p, I used to buy the big pots of oken, rachel etc until I realsied that I might aswell try the economy - no fruit or flavour but at 35p you can add your own fruit (usually banana)

Teco, asda and sainsbury all do their own 35p pot - you just need to search for it out of eye line!!
