Treacle tart

Drizzle it on Yorkshire puddings

Or microwave syrup sponge

Or add to cornflake cakes - so much better than just chocolate

Or ginger cake

Thank you! The only thing I could think of was putting it on porrige!

You could do like The Vicar of Dibley and dip all your chocolate bars in it!

British Rail gingerbread, recipe from Food from The Place Below. I made this very recently, thanks to another thread about golden syrup, or possibly treacle. It was wonderful. When the recipe mentions batter, what it means is that the mixture is so liquid that I thought I'd got something wrong, but fortunately I didn't add any more flour, and it came out super moist.

It's pretty good drizzled over vanilla ice cream and topped with clotted cream.

Drizzle on warm pancakes or waffles.

Treacle tart.

Use in a sweet & sour marinade/sauce.

Use in ginger nut biscuits.

https://greatbritishrecipes.com/cornish-fairings/

These are the easiest biscuits to make, as its dry ingredients mixed in a bowl and the butter, syrup etc heated until it all melts and the two put together and balls of the mixture placed on a baking tray. Mark with a fork for the pattern

Cornish Fairings

Cornish fairings are traditional ginger biscuits that have been around for years. Flavoured with mixed spice, cinnamon and ginger, they have the characteristic 'snap' of a good British biscuit that is really hard to resist.
