Subtituting gooseberries for rhubarb

I often make a rhubarb cake using 700g rhubarb and 5 tablespoons of sugar.

I'd like to try it with gooseberries but don't know what quantity to use both of gooseberries and sugar.

Does anybody have any idea.

I'd use much the same, gooseberries are sour little things like rhubarb so like for like is probably fine.

I suppose I will just have to try and see. I thought google would help but it hasn't on this occasion.
