Favourite menus self catering holiday with extended family

What are your go to meals for a week away with an extended family group? 6 adults, 4 kids from 11-2 all meat eaters. Decent self catering facilities.

I usually do fajitas, bolognaise / lasagne, party food / pizzas...

Any other ideas where you order it all from Tesco (so don't need to bring loads of store cupboard stuff), doesn't take too long to prep / cook and is generally good for all ages...??

I usually do a chicken curry and take it with us for the first night.

Would also recommend chicken and black bean chilli

www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/pulled-chicken-black-bean-chilli. I usually add a bit more spice but depends how you like it.

Is there a decent BBQ? A sausage night, if so - buns and onions for hot dogs for the kids, and a big potato salad and green salad for anyone who doesn't want hot dogs.

This is tasty and less faff/cooking time than lasagne

Tray bakes are good, chicken and chorizo with Mediterranean veg and baby potatoes, roast a joint of gammon and serve cold with salads. Cod wrapped in pancetta. Pasta night with a choice of smoked salmon, lemon, and fresh herbs or arabiata sauce and garlic bread.
Chicken skewers with a couple of different marinades.
All easy with minimal prep

Mmm we've got 2 trips so I'll check the BBQ situation but love the specific "sausage night" idea!

Taking something pre made is a good idea - could do a slow cooker thing..

the chilli recipe looks great!

Lasagne
paella
thai curry
roast
all work for a big group and can have bouts added for fussy eaters.
unless you’re going to CP in which case but Yorkshire puddings!

Ooh interesting idea about a roast - not the full Monty maybe but a summer version would be great so chicken with sweet potatoes / roasted carrots / new potatoes and some kind of peas / runner beans

And love the gammon idea!

Slow cooker pulled pork, brioche buns, home made or bought coleslaw, corn on the cob (can also be done in the slow cooker), token salad 😂

Jacket potatoes. A tonne of spuds, then a serve yourself array of hot/cold toppings (depending on how easy you want to make it): beans, cheese, tuna, chilli, coronation chicken etc.

A curry also goes down a treat with my lot. If you can take stuff look at some of the 'dump bag' recipes for curry and chilli. So everything is pre-prepped in zip lock bags for you to 'dump' in the slow cooker.

Bottle of peri peri sauce with chicken breast, oven chips, shop coleslaw
