Banana Bread Recipe

The past couple of times I;ve used an All-In-One recipe but before I'm sure it was rubbed in (flour+fat then add the rest)

The all-in-one was more cake-like .

It;s for my DD , no nuts (I love walnuts in it but she;s vetoed them)

TIA

I really liked the Natashas Kitchen banana bread recipe. You can leave out the nuts. I threw in some choc chips instead. I ended up having to bake 2 more after staff and customers requested it .

I always make Nigella’s recipe. You can leave out nuts and sultanas and it’s still the best. V easy, don’t need to get mixer out or rub butter in flour.

This is my go-to Banana Bread - Biscoff Banana Bread, & I add in chocolate chips & pecans.
Everyone who has tried it, loves it!

Coincidentally I made this one today [[https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/banana_and_chocolate_74784

I even put twice the amount of bananas in as they needed to be used up. I didn't put chocolate chips in. Unusually for my oven, it cooked in the time given in the recipe. Also I used wholemeal flour. It's a very nice cake.

Mary Berry's banana bread recipe is small, but perfectly formed and loaded with chocolate chips. You can double this classic loaf cake recipe if you need.

Use the oldest, sqashiest bananas you can get hold of as they have the most flavour.

I used the BBC one just the other day came out lovely

I also use Nigella's, it's excellent.

This BBC Food one is easy and good. You can skip the banana chips if you don’t have or don’t want them.

I second this one - it always turns out well, I made 3 last week, one didn't last long and the other two are in the freezer!

Smitten Kitchen jacked-up banana bread - amazing (I don’t add the alcohol)

I also use this recipe. I don't bother with the banana chips or drizzle icing.

Loads of great recipes Grin
It's the Mary Berry one I've used before . And I think before that , one in the Sunday Times Cookbook that rubbed the butter and flour in.

I'll give the Good Food one a try then work my way through the rest , but no chocolate in it

Nigella’s all the way!

John Barrowman's recipe (I think on BBC Good Food) is always good.

I've just made one based on Donna Hay's version, which came out v nicely - uses coconut oil in place of butter (tho I subbed 1/3 butter just cos).

The Mary Berry one I use is just chuck everything in and mix - we make it most weeks with our brownest bananas

That's the one I've been using .

The Good Food one was a bit doughy once it had been stored a couple of days , best eaten as soon as it came out of the oven /the same day .
