Mumsnet help! I’ve been looking for a safe non stick frying pan for months. I can’t find anything at all suitable. Any recommendations? I did look at stainless steel but I’m not sure how to keep it stick free and they are heavy 😩 please what do you use? Thanks

I think which just did this…

I particularly like the Scoville Neverstick range of pans. They are PFOA free and are available from Asda, Argos, Sainsburys and Dunelm.

I don't like the idea of eating non stick linings and they're pretty toxic at high temps, so I've used cast iron for years. After a few uses (OK, quite a few), they are pretty much non stick and I am eating minute flakes of iron, I can probably do with it anyway. Lately, I've acquired a second pan, so I can make batches of flatbreads on the hob, and it's carbon steel. A lot lighter than cast iron and a dream to cook with. I did season it and I've cooked a lot in it. It's so non stick now that even eggs need just a tiny drizzle of oil and they're gliding out of the pan. Mine's a DeBuyer - they come in under £50 but often much less when on Amazon discounted.

The prestige earthpan gets a good write-up, hang on

I’m very tempted. All my old nonsticks are black (& my fellow fryers are not gentle Angry)
