Any low salt recipe tips?

All gratefully received! I've been getting a bit fed up with constant salad. I've just decided to ignore how messy bread-making is, and looked up a recipe for flatbread using yoghurt and cumin seeds, leaving the salt out, because I was really missing bread and feeling hungry after lunch. It seems ok, just takes effort and time.

It feels as if I'm eating for fuel rather than enjoyment, but maybe I'll begin to appreciate 'subtle flavours' soon!

Easy Yoghurt Flatbread (No Yeast)

This easy yoghurt flatbread recipe needs only a few simple ingredients. Serve it with soups, stews and mezze for an easy dinner or snack.

I'm confused. How/why does salad equate to low salt?
If you're hungry after lunch, you need protein & possibly carbs - neither have to contain salt.
I limit salt intake for medical reasons, so I simply use less of it in cooking & others can add it at the table if necessary.

My tip- don't use salt!

On a slightly more serious note, any recipe should be fine as the key is to cook from scratch! There's loads of salt in processed food but normal cooking shouldn't be an issue?!

To what extent do you need to avoid or minimise salt?
If it's for a medical reason, have you asked for dietitian support?
As a PP has already said, constant salads doesn't sound right for a low salt diet.

@Georgyporky - so sorry for the confusion. I used to take something on toast for lunch, or canned soup and bread, or salad and toast. Store bought bread is too salty, and it's been salad weather here for a few weeks. Otherwise, sure, I'd get onto cooking up and freezing some carby bean soups.

As for just leaving salt out, I used to use a lot of salty condiments, mayo, pesto. I'm not really enjoying so much cooking from scratch, so I'm looking for ideas for meals that still taste good without salt.
