Actually tasty recipes with cocao nibs

Hello everyone, I've got some cocao (or is it just cocoa?) nibs which I was given and have been languishing for months now. How can I use them up? All the suggested recipes on the internet are very nonsense healthy foody like using them instead of chocolate chips in paleo-gf-vegan-brownies, and that is not my style at all. Is there anything in which they're actually nice? I made some cardamom shortbreads with some of them but tbh they were just too bitter and crunchy, and they would have been nicer without.

They'll always be crunchy unless you process them, at which point you might as well be using cocoa powder. They're also a strong, intense flavour if you're used to the usual forms of chocolate. Hmm.. It sounds like these are not going to be your favourite ingredient.

You could try:-
-coating truffles with them. You could make the truffle as sweet as you like to offset their strength.
-Sprinkled on top of ice cream.
-Mixed in with other things that are also crunchy, like toasted hazelnuts. Make a brittle and put them in there too.
-Use them to flavour vodka or heated milk perhaps? Then you could just throw them away after and not have to deal with the crunchiness.

Yes I think it's fair to say they won't be my favourite but thank you for the ideas!!
