Rice salad

Decided to have a bbq today. Really fancy a rice salad with it. Have loads of herbs and spices plus mushrooms peppers onions - what can I add to the rice and veg to give it more flavour? Don’t want to be going to the shop

Cook the rice in stock rather than water. Mix in cumin, turmeric, salt. Add finely diced jalapeños for a bit of heat.

I put a spoonful of mint sauce in a rice salad with peas once, it was lovely.
