Seriously running out of ideas and need some inspiration please.

I'm 31 weeks pregnant with DC2 and ideally would love to batch cook some meals for DC1 (14 months) for when baby arrives and just have some new recipes in general.

Thanks in advance 💐

Mine always ate what we were eating, with some modifications. Sorry, that's probably not helpful. What do YOU like that's easy?

When we had dc2, I batch cooked and froze some veg chilli and some bolognese sauce, because those are easy things to heat up and then have with a quick carb - rice/tortilla chips/soured cream/salad or pasta and garlic bread.

We also had a shop near us that sold Cook meals. We'd get maybe 2 of those a week and have them with something easy like mash or rice or garlic bread.

And then lots of simple meals - jacket potato and cheese with salad/crudites, scrambled egg with toast, sausages on a roll, pasta with shop bought sauce. Honestly, it's a short time when things are really chaotic and at that age, they can really eat anything, so just make one meal - that you like! as you'll be the one needing the energy - and let them try everything that you would.

Mince and tatties. I make my mince with peas and carrots mixed in. 3.5yr old bloody loves it!

Spaghetti Bolognese
Chicken quesadillas
Roast chicken with broccoli and potatoes or pasta.
Sometimes just cold chopped veg, slices of ham and cheese - he loves a wee picnic.

Chilli and rice
Omelette with veg and cheese through it

Aw thank you for this.

My LO loves bolognese, cottage pie, mince and potato's, baked potatoes, chicken and rice. Totally loves all soup. Feel like I'm making the same meals all the time but I guess if she's happy then that's fine. I best start cooking 🤣
