Bread Crumbs

Is there a type of kitchen appliance that will make bread crumbs ? Instead of having to use the grater. Some sort of appliance that I can put bread into and switch it on to make bread crumbs. Grateful for help. Thank you.

A mini processor will whizz dry/stale bread into crumbs in a few seconds.

This sort of thing: www.argos.co.uk/product/4232568

This is assuming you're not wanting loads of breadcrumbs. If doing much larger amounts then a standard food processor would also work.

Kenwood mini chopper as in post above. I then stick rhetoric breadcrumbs in the freezer until I need them

"The" not rhetoric...autocorrect is v odd

Bulk standard food processor. Use the blade and not the grater attachment. Chop bread into cubes first. As you discovered using the grater, it is quite hard work.

Food processor or a jug blender have both been used in this house.

Anything with a blade - food processor, blender, smoothie maker ...

Or cut into cubes and dry in a low oven until dry, or leave on counter for a couple of days. Then put in bag and bash with rolling pin.

? Maybe even a nutribullet?

GloriousintheArctic · 31/05/2023 22:32

I always use my Liquidiser (jug blender).

String pull chopper. Mine cost about £5! It's great, I use it for bread crumbs all the time. The blades are razor sharp so take care!
