Yukon potatoes

I usually avoid US recipes; CBA to convert cups, imperial, temps etc.
However, there's a recipe I want to use that specifies Yukon spuds.
I can't find out whether it's a floury or waxy variety.
Anyone know the UK equivalent - easily available in UK supermarkets, please.

They are a slightly yellow fleshed waxy variety.
If you have the budget, Jersey Royals will be great, Charlottes excellent, and any new potato variety will work fine.

What's the recipe?

Large waxy and golden in colour.

Is it a recipe for potato rosti by chance?

Thanks for the replies.

I want to make something I enjoyed in Jordan recently - kofta bi tahini.

Basically, spicy minced meat patties in a tahini sauce topped with potatoes & baked. Simple but good.
I've found several recipes on-line, but all USA & in need of translation.
I'll get some waxy spuds, but save the JRs for a meal where they can be the star !

Yukons are nice, we get them sometimes in our local Co-op. Jerseys would be even nicer I reckon.

I love JRs, but prefer them smothered in butter & not strongly flavoured sauces.
