What do you think?

Chicken stock cubes and a splash of worcestershire sauce?

(I have marmite / chicken gravy)

I find marmite works well (but then I'm veggie, so I guess I would say that!)

chicken stock cubes and worcestershire sounds good - what sauce is it for, a bit of butter stirred in is very nice with chicken stock cubes.

no butter .. am doing slimming world

its a tomato sauce that goes on top of mushroom stuffed chicken breasts

the other ingredients for the sauce are .. onion (they say shallots, but stuff that a normal onion will do Wink 4 x plum tomatoes (I'm using a can of chopped Wink) 6tbsp balsamic vinegar and a garlic clove and some water (got them )

do you fry the onion first? If so I'd fry it gently for a long while then crumble up a chicken stock cube and push it around with the onion for a bit then add everything else. Worcestershire at the end to taste.

yep .. frying the onions in fry light .. then bunging in everything else then boiling to reduce

will try the adding stock cube to the onion and the worcestershire sauce last method (my gut would, as always, be to just bung it in Grin)

ta enid Grin

mmm sounds nice. My secret vice is a chopped up clove of garlic, crushed chicken stock cube and some rosemary fried in butter and then tossed with pasta. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
