Hi everyone, My DD is turning 4 this month. I would like to distribute sweet bags to her friends at preschool. Could you please share what sweet treats (chocolates, sweets, biscuits….)can be provided?. The preschool is a nut free setting. I have selected Haribo already. I would like to add 2 more items. Can you suggest some ?

Haribos are the most popular and easiest option - the multi pack ones contain the green bags of strawberry sweets that are gelatine free so OK for veggie and halal children.

Forgot to add - one little bag of haribos is fine and what most parents give out, I don't think you need to worry about giving more than that.

What about individually wrapped mini flapjack bites (Ella’s Kitchen or Organix)? Could also do packs of YoYo Bears or Bear Paws, or Kiddylicious Smoothie Melts which might as well be sweets!

Most sweets don't have nuts or dairy in them! You might want to think about gelatin free ones for kids who are vegetarian or Muslim.

DC went in with M&S caterpillar sweets the other day, they're vegan, nut and dairy free etc

All the M&S percy pig ones are vegan too actually

mini boxes of raisins?

Swizzels are dairy free, nut free, vegan etc.
They're usually my go-to for allergy friendly sweets.

These tend to have soya in so if you have dairy free people they are likely to avoid soya too.

Haribo is the best thing for these occasions I find.

I looked on Swizzels nutritional info pages and loads of their stuff is soya free Confused

Haribo tends not to go down well with my DCs peer group, perhaps because several of their friends are vegetarian or Muslim and only certain haribo products are gelatine-free.
