AIBU to think that 25 pounds is a lot of money to spend on home made bagels for 5 people ?! that includes the bagels, ham, cream cheese and 100g trout ! (Salmon’was
too expensive )

I thought I’d do something different for Sunday lunch thinking it would be cheaper !

Yes it is, where are you shopping?

You can get all this from Asda;

2 x Branded Bagels (5 Pack) £4.00
Philadelphia Cream Cheese Family Pack £2.25
Trout Fillets 180g £5.30
Ham 300g £3.75

This is two bagels per person too which might be too much?

Home made as in, made from scratch (bagels and all) in your own home?
Or Home made with shop bought bagels and smoked trout in your own home?
Or home made by someone else that you bought in?
More details required.
Are you in the uk?

How many bagels are you each eating?

ps don't buy Philadelphia - full of shit. Own brand usually better *misses point but still

Bloody hell where are you shopping, Fortnum and Mason?

Barstools123 · 13/05/2023 22:44

Ok I've priced it up. Waitrose.

3.90 for 10 bagels (new York)
6.00 for 8 slices of Waitrose ham (2x 4 slice packs, 2 for £6)
1.50 cream cheese tub
5.75 smoked trout

£17.50
