Silly slow cooker question

Got a 2 step Korma sauce from Aldi (one with the spices to use first and then the sauce).

Can I put the raw chicken in the slow cooker with the spices this morning, then add the sauce in a couple of hours, ready to eat at tea time?

I know they don't take long to cook anyway but we've got lots going on at the moment and I'm trying to use the small amount of free time I have on a morning to make the evening easier. Thanks Smile

I wouldn't put the raw spices in the slow cooker, I would fry the chicken and spices first and then put it all together with the sauce in the slow cooker.

I would do the chicken and spices in a pan first then everything into the slow cooker too

I’ve done what you are suggesting. Obviously if you have time it is better to fry first, but the dish won’t be ruined if you don’t.

Thanks all! Will fry off first then pop in the slow cooker Smile
