I agree Katy, you have to train them gradually. My DD is 9 and gets the breakfast sorted for her and DS who is 6. DS can help me put together a lasagne, they both make pizzas and cakes and I just do the oven bit. I said to DS the other day as he was helping me that when he goes to college or whatever he will be very popular if he can knock up a tasty dinner himself, especially on the cheap!!
My 40th is on Mother's Day... double whammy! I expect I will be getting toast and marmite and OJ for breakfast - I've heard them planning it! FAB
