Just wondering as I always use to quickly brown any stewing meat before putting it in the oven plus also add hot stock /wine as otherwise the meat will go chewy
however this receipe says:
toss the beef in the seasoning (with flour)place in casserole add tomatoes, wine and all veg cover and cook for 1.5hr
So do I just bang everything cold in a casserole and hope for the best? Bought good quality organic beef and dont want to ruin it IYSWIM!
