..tonight. This never happens. It was....
Spicy chickpea spinach tomato veg thing with homemade flatbread and halloumi on the side (the halloumi was rejected mind). Wasn't that hard to make.

Anyone had any surprise wins dinner wise?

Sounds lovely. My toddler suddenly started eating tomatoes. So happy that she likes a veg.

Hasselback potatoes on Saturday were described as “delectable” by my very grumpy teen.

I almost fell of my chair in shock.

I gave an Oscars style thank you speech, probably ruining the chances they'll ever eat it again.

@HasaDigajust checked them put and they look good! Agree @Creepyrosemary it's so gratifying when a toddler actually starts liking something healthy.
Much like a teen in many ways.

@Allwelcone please can you share the recipe for the spicy chickpea thing? It sounds good! I'm a fairly recent veggie and need inspiration.

@FluffyPJs Olive oil, chucked in garlic onion aubergine courgette pepper in chunks, fried it all, added 2 tins tomatoes, chickpeas and chilli flakes, salt pepper, parsely. Found some cumin and paprika at the back of the cupboard and added that too.
I think it might be nice with feta or olives in, not sure....

OP!!! A spicy spinach, chick peas and tomato thing is exactly what we need here. I'm not silly enough to ask for a recipe, but a hint for the spices used and what you did would be very gratefully received

That is such a great (and rare) feeling! I made a Korean beef dish a few weeks ago which my 9 year old actually ate and my 12 year old pronounced her new favourite meal! We’ve had it a few times since with the same response.
