what do I do with nduja paste?

The M&S near to me does this thing whereby they randomly reduce lots of items in their grocery section - possibly discontinued products as they are well within date. Lots of cooking pastes and sauces and that sort of thing.

Yesterday bought two wee pots of nduja paste which had been £2+ for 40p each. Bargain. Now I know what nduja IS, but don't know what to DO with it....

Put it on a pizza?

That's the only time I've eaten it!

It melts when heated so I stir t it into tomato sauce for pasta, or add it to the pan when cooking prawns for a spicy kick. It’s also great spread on crostini with a sun dried tomato to make little bruschetta’s. Oh and if you stuff it in a chicken breast with some mozzarella it’s amazing!

Fry gnocchi in it.

I would add it to a sauce, any sauce where you want some spice.

Probably the nicest thing I've ever eaten in Franca Manga was focaccia (I think, it might have been sourdough) spread with n'duja paste and topped with a burrata - so nice that I went out and bought some n'duja paste the next day and left it in a cupboard and have never used it since.

Franca Manca, obviously. Autocorrect doesn't get out much.

Stir it into shakshuka

GoldenCagedBird · 26/04/2023 11:22

Blob it on pizza
cheese on toast
stir into pasta
stuff chicken breasts with it
use the oilier bits to fry up protein (as you would any cooking oil) to add a bit of spice
it’s good with white fish, bake on top and add a crumb

good in scrambled eggs too

I love it. These are my favourite recipes.
Roast potatoes
Fried rice
Chicken parmigiana burger
Meatballs with couscous

It's also good in burgers or sausage rolls and I imagine scotch eggs. It's amazing with eggs as PP suggested, a sandwich with an egg fried in the spicy oil is a perfect hangover cure 😂.

I have it mixed with mashed avocado, so toppings or fillings.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 26/04/2023 20:15

I use it like you would a chutney on biscuits and cheese.

Cook it out on a low heat and add cream cheese for a couple of minutes, makes a delicious pasta sauce!

Ooh try this! Ixta Belfrage's genius recipe. It's delicious:
