I want to make a pasta dish and being an idiot I forgot to buy crème fresh. Can I use milk or would be best to leave Philadelphia as it is?

No you can't sub creme fraish for milk. You can use plain yoghurt though

You could use yoghurt, as suggested above, or double cream, or perhaps even some cream cheese, depending on the recipe. Milk will be too watery.
