Recommend a luxury hot chocolate please!

Looking for a delicious creamy indulgent hot chocolate I can make from home with hot milk. So a powder in a tub or similar (I don't have a velvetiser). I tried twinings hot chocolate but it was a bit disappointing. is there a hot chocolate you can buy which is like small shavings of chocolate rather than powder? As I think that's the type you use for the velvetiser but I'm looking for one I can just whisk into my hot milk in the pan

Thanks!!

I can't recommend a luxury hot chocolate, but if you can stretch to it (I got a discount code and it came to £25), I thoroughly recommend this.
I was despondent over my lack of Velvitiser and a friend said - try this - it is wayyyyy better and you can use anything in it! And she is right. (Particularly nice with a scoop of Cadburys powder and some squares of Green and Blacks - daughter makes hers with Terry's chocolate orange).
Honestly, I have never tasted more delicious hot chocolate ever, it is something about the shaking I guess, but it combines it beautifully and it is silky and gorgeous. It is so simple and yet utterly brilliant.

You can just use the velvetiser sachets for making it by hand - whisk it enough and it will be exactly the same. Alternatively, I like Whittards (but some of the flavours are a bit sweet) and we have a Love Cocoa one open at the moment which is very nice. I sometimes shake it over my morning yoghurt...

I really love Simon Coll Spanish Drinking Chocolate.

Charbonnel et Walker does a luxury hot chocolate that is little chocolate shavings.

Yes I also recommend Charbonnel et Walker which comes in a lovely tin. You could also try cacao powder which is more intense and you can add sugar to taste. There is also Willies Cacao hot chocolate which is lovely

I had some of this and didn't like it though. I was using it with milk and then read on the side that it's meant to be with water. That wasn't any better though!

Green and blacks is delicious.

That's the thing though isn't it? each person has different tastes. I can't stand the Black and Greens hot chocolate find it sickly and sticky.
