...dd's little friend eating pot noodles at my house and declaring them "yum" afterwards.

I had never seen or smelled them before and by God they are revolting.

I had no choice but to make them for him though because both his mum and the boy himself insisted that that was the only thing he would eat.

(dd had a stir fry with noodles so it would look similar)

No I don't know her very well at all.

She strikes me as kind and good-hearted, but also seriously misguided.

ANd here's my Cross though Not a Food Ponce experience of the day - going for lunch with my parents and DS in the Debenhams cafe which I had accepted rather than their other suggestions of farking McDOnalds - the kids' menu included pasta in tomato sauce, which was fine for DS but 'included in all children's meals is a choice of fizzy drink or Fruit Shoot'.
