ChipButty · 14/02/2008 15:53

Can't you go out to eat?

chrissnow · 14/02/2008 15:55

Blimey that must be bad bad bad food if even a pot noodle is more appealing .
Sorry that wasn't very helpful.

The hotel we go tp lets you order in takeaways and even lets you eat them in their breakfast room/ restaraunt.

There are some other pot type things that you just add hot water too, some of the pasta things aren't that bad, perhaps a pack of pitta bread to dip in it. Other than that I am thinking some fruit, biscuits and assorted nibbles. you need something to soak up the booze.

Atre there no shops nearby you could nip too for a filled roll.

you can do couscous with just hot water from kettle - put in bowl and cover until water absorbed. then add dressing/veg/salad stuff and perhaps tuna?

Iota · 14/02/2008 15:59

how much faff do you want?

take bread, salad and tinned goods such as tuna and make a sandwich.

for the first night you could make a picnic and take it in a cool-bag.

heck - I'd eat out

no shops nearby its in the middle of nowwherre - good country side

the food is really bad

we had a choice of veryy very fatty pork chops in a ragu typoe sauce ot salmon in red sauce with over boiled new potatoes and very soggy veg.

NExt meal was turkey in red sauce or grey i think it was meant to be white fish with scales in red sauce with new potatoes and the very soggyveg

in fact all six meals had the same new potatoes anf soggy overcooked veg , dessert was a bruised babna or frozen sarah lee type gateau!

it was really bad!

Oh yes cous cous is a good one there are some small sachets that are flavoured already.

Can't you order even a sandwich from room service they can't be that bad surely.

TBH I would be googling for the nearest country pub, are you driving? There must be something

branflake81 · 14/02/2008 16:40

bread? cook a pizza the day before and eat it cold?

AitchTwoOh · 14/02/2008 16:41

roast some veggies before you go and put them in a tupperware with a blob of harissa to have with your couscous. prepped raw carrots and veggies to snack on.

get thee to M&S. buy lots of dips and salads and fruit and party nibbles.also buy wine to cheer yourself up. don't forget corkscrew.take advantage of unlimited free hot water and bring fabby bath items

AitchTwoOh · 14/02/2008 17:07

tomatoes and some olive oil and salt. that's luxury. decant the oil into a wee shampoo traavel bottle. and clementine oranges.
