Chicken Kiev, stuffed with cheese and bacon.
Today's date, bought last Friday.

I've gone to get them from the fridge and the packaging is bulging, just a little.

Am I going to poison us?

It's chicken, chicken is not great for poisoning imo.

Yeah, I know. I hate wasting food but salmonella is less appealing.

Give it a sniff when you open the package. As long as it doesn't smell bad, go for it. Make sure it's cooked through and I'm sure it'll be fine.

I've chickened out already and put them in the compost bin. We're having eggs instead with our chips. I'm a wuss.

Into the bin with it, the bulging package tells you that nasty things are happening inside the food.
Take a photo of it with the date stamp showing and see if you can get a refund due to the bulging packaging.

Omelettes for dinner?

Bulging packet isn't great it's something to do with bacteria I think. Bin it and have beans on toast. Not worth ruining the weekend for.

Baldieheid · 06/04/2023 20:24

Yep, they've been chucked.

Thanks all!
