I bought the above and made paella last night, which was lovely. but I've got some ingredients left over - what I can do tonight with them that's not paella?

walk over to bin and put them in

sorry just scared of leftover fish and mussels generally

llareggub · 13/02/2008 19:34

fish pie?

Carmenere · 13/02/2008 19:35

Chowder, make a roux with butter and flour, thin it out with stock, add finely chopped onions and herbs, add a tin of sweetcorn, some milk and cream and the fish. Season with black pepper.

they haven;'t been cooked, and I only bought them yesterday so they should be fine shouldn;t they?

fish pie?

if not smoked haddock, make a curry, yum

anorak · 13/02/2008 19:35

I'd make seafood pasta with them.

cook pasta, make or open a simple tomato sauce, heat the fish through in it, season and mix through the pasta.

Poach the haddock in milk, heat through the prawns and mussels and have with mash?

Onlyaphase · 13/02/2008 19:36

Actually, carmenere is completely right, chowder sounds much nicer (and will be quicker)

hatwoman · 13/02/2008 19:36

would soured cream work for a chowder?

fish pie, or a chowder, but best if smoked haddock for that imo

hatwoman · 13/02/2008 19:37

and does a chowder have a bit of curry powder in it? or did I imagine it?

open a packet of doll noodles, add the msg-laden soup base and water, chuck in the fishy stuff, add some frozen sweetcorn, bring to boil for a couple of minutes, eat.

Or if it turns out to be disgusting, chuck out and make toast instead

(can you tell I'm feeling v lazy tonight? )

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 13/02/2008 19:38
