Contribution to work do

Dear Mumsnetters can you please give me some inspiration a dearly loved colleague is leaving tomorrow and I have said I will contribute to the leaving party. I was going to get a platter of sandwiches from M&S or similar but the timings just won't work so going to have to DIY it. Think it has to be savoury, my thoughts so far are cheeesey scones, cherry tomatoes, Hummus, carrot sticks, cucumber. Any other thoughts ?

Sticky sausages? There are lots of recipes online and I find that they always go down a treat. Of you could just do a cheeseboard with grapes and a selection of crackers?

I really like platters of crudités with dips at buffets because otherwise they end up a bit beige and stodgy. But only if dips have spoons in so people can put a dollop on their plates. Otherwise there is too much risk of double dipping!
Alternatively I really like little pieces of chicken breast marinated in yoghurt and tandoori paste and baked. Equally tasty hot or cold. I tend to serve on a cocktail sticks to save on orange fingers! Particularly good with a bowl of those mini popodoms and a dollop of mango chutney!
