DP’s birthday today and his favourite is Sticky Toffee Pudding, I’ve got most of the prep done for the main now so would like to get started on the STP but it says it’s much better baked fresh so question is

Could I mix up the batter now and then bake it this evening? Or will the raising agents etc object to that?

Do it fresh, have all the ingredients out, dry ones ready etc and it'll only take minutes to prepare it.

Another vote for do it fresh.

Sometimes I weigh as many of the ingredients out as possible into bowls and cover them eg. flour, sugar, etc. That saves time when making.

Thanks for replies - I shall make it fresh. Good idea about measuring it all out now though - before I hit the wine! 😂

I’m really not a baker - it’s too sciency for me but want to make the effort for him as he’s lovely!
