Your choice of ground coffee for an aeropress type espresso maker?

I bought a Statesso Portable Espresso Maker, a hand press like the Aeropress - it's light and compact for using in my campervan. I have a great little DeLonghi EC685R, a compact coffee machine that draws 1350W so I can use it on electric hookup. I normally use Lavazza Rossa (only rated as 5/10 for intensity on the packaging). It works great in the DeLonghi (we also use this machine at home) but maybe I want to find something else that's also finely ground like the Lavazza but stronger - have you got any suggestions? I bought the Staresso because my wife doesn't let me take the DeLonghi when I go away on my own! It's also useful if we don't have electric hookup.

Could you get a coffee grinder? If electricity is a concern there are lots of hand grinders.

Have you not got a hipster artisan coffee roasting business in your neighbourhood? I'm sure they would love to suggest a coffee and grind it to perfect fine grade.
Our fall back for Aeropress is black-packet Lavazza or the vaccum sealed tins of espresso coffee you can find in TK Maxx. Or Illy Intenso that you find in supermarkets.

My DH has been using an aero press for years and seems to use any espresso coffee but mainly the red Illy coffee in the tin.
