I love really fresh mackerel - think in a pub on the Cornish coast, freshly caught. It's really delicate tasting. Not from a supermarket, it's gone a bit past it's peak by then, flavour gets strong and a bit unpleasant. We have no fishmonger locally. Has anyone tried to order fresh mackerel and is it better than supermarket?
