Biscuit recipes

Have recently started baking and started with simple buns and cakes. Can also make a nice shortbread.

I have some time to spare and feel like making biscuits today. Does anyone have their favourite biscuit recipes they would like to share?

Some lovely recipes on Jane's Patisserie
We make variations of her NYC cookies quite often (but make them smaller, and get 12, not 8 from a batch).
