The Effectiveness "Eat Them to Defeat Them"

I've just saw an advert designed to encourage kids to eat their vegetables. The premise is that vegetables are marching down roads and trying to invade towns.

The adults have kept the marshal vegetables at bay but they are not being right level of whelmed, in fact they are overwhelmed. The adults need to recruit the kids to participate to "eat them to defeat them!"

Are kids roused to action from inaction from this campaign or do their attitude resemble Muhammad Ali's towards the Vietnam War - "I ain't got no quarrel with them Viet Cong."?

P.S. I'm aware of the grammatical mistake in the title. In changing the then prospective from from into another I forgot to change syntax accordingly.

My friends son is now scared of vegetables so it's not been very effective in her house!

It is sad that the media like to tell children that vegetables are torture when they are, in fact, so delicious

@MillicentTrilbyHiggins Oh dear, hopefully the scariness of that adverts wares off very soon.

@Coyoacan I agree. I believe there are vegetable-heavy dishes to suit every tastebuds.
