First has anyone made the glitzy chocolate puddings? If you have, is there anyway of preparing them beforehand because reading the recipe it doesn't seem so but I don't really want to have to leave the table (and our friends) and spend 20 mins in the kitchen making them but they look REALLY delicious! They are on page 221, please can someone have a look for me and tell me what you think. THANKS

I haven't made them but I've just looked and I think you would have to prepare and cook them immediately before people arrive and let them sit somewhere. I wouldn't have thought you could prepare the mix and then leave it before cooking or the egg might deflate?

hmm, not sure really. Could you experiment with a small amount before your dinner?

Thank you for looking! I thought the same about the egg. Bugger. I could weigh everything out beforehand I guess and mix them up and put them in the oven just before we have our main course but then it doesn't just take 25 mins to eat a main course. Oh bum. Hmmm. Any other scrumptious chocolate recipes come to mind?!

If you still wanted the gold wow factor with chocolate, the green and black's dark chocolate mousse cake with gold dust topping is fairly impressive and easy to make. Have you got that book? Hang on..

found it online here. If you can't get the gold dust then honeycomb would probabaly still be nice on top. It's delicious warm and cold. You could even make individual ones.

Actually, I fancy that now. I made it once for a friends birthday in the summer and I put little fresh flowers on it and some of dd's fairies and it was a bit midsummer's night dreamy

Oh that sound gorgeous too! I have some dark chocolate (Lindt not G and B) sitting in the kitchen ready so I think I might try it. FAB! Thank you
