Sandwich Lover (ideas please)

So I can't stop eating sandwiches. Sometimes I will even make a massive sandwich for dinner.

Today I had

Cheese
Tomato
Honey roast ham
Lettuce
Cucumber
Red onion
Mayo
Salt and pepper

What is your favorite sandwich please as I need some inspo!

It's very hard to beat ham and mustard, bread spread with butter or mayo. Has to be good ham, obviously!

Fish fingers (hot is best, cold is fine), watercress or iceberg, tartar sauce.

Red Leicester with lime pickle

A couple of summers ago Waitrose did a sandwich which was slices of spicy breaded chicken (maybe Katsu or similar) with a shredded veg salad and a spicy coconut dressing. I have not forgiven them for discontinuing this summer special sandwich.

My fave ever sandwich, good quality cheese, good quality tomatoes, salt and pepper, white bread!

I love a Bahn Mi made from left over roast chicken. It’s messy so you need plenty of napkins.

You need Max’s sandwich book OP.

My husband is partial to a massive sandwich and I bought him this book for his birthday. Some of the recipes take hours but they are amazing.

The ice cream sandwich is a particular favourite

DH could live on sandwiches, I must admit I enjoy a sandwich. We're meant to be cutting back on bread but sometimes he still makes me a ham and cheese toastie later in the evening for supper, simple but lovely.
When not cutting back on bread

Cheese
Ham and cheese (tomato)
Cheese and crisps
Corned beef
Chichen
Tinned Salmon
Sausages
Bacon
Sausage bacon egg
Sauce
Butter (bread and a thick layer of butter - food of the gods)
Syrup, jam, treacle, curd any shirt of spread except Nutella.

I'm easy pleased

I love tuna, Chipotle mayo mixed with chopped spring onion, cubes of feta crispy red or yellow peppers, rocket in a wholegrain sub

Good quality mature cheddar and raw onion on thick white bread, tiger brwsd is my favourite for this!

Brie and crispy bacon

My ex colleague used to make divine egg mayo with raw finely chopped red onion, tiny sprinkle of grated cheese and Mayo and would bring some in for me every time we had a shift together, if I'm popping to hers for a cuppa now she still makes me one and one to take home but I've never been able to replicate it! Doesn't taste the same as hers even though I've done all the same ingredients!

I have a formula for sandwiches. A sandwich needs the following 4 ingredients:

  1. A meat of some sort
  2. A cheese of some sort
  3. A fruit/veg/salad item
  4. Some kind of sauce/condiment

Many combinations work but my favourite is:

  1. Salami
  2. Brie
  3. Rocket leaves
  4. Sweet chilli sauce
