Just that really, seem to have run out of ideas for this week.
So far we had meatball spaghetti, chicken tikka masala, fish & chips, sausages and mash, hake with parsley sauce and the usual sides, meatball stew.
I have chopped braising steak, meatballs, usual veggies in the freezer but don't want more pasta bake / stew 😁

We're having veggie chilli, but @mydogisthebest 's sounds delicious.

evtheria · 05/02/2023 17:12

DP and I eating some lemon & herb white fish I want gone from the freezer, with mash and a mix of green veg.
DS will have some leftover daal, couple of hard boiled eggs sliced in, with rice and quick-pickled red onions, as he likes neither mash nor fish "covered in stuff".

I would rather be eating a platter of Buffalo wings with dip. Just got some ranch seasoning from the US and am itching to try it in sour cream.

Slow cooker creamy chicken and chorizo pasta with spinach and sundried tomatoes from the brilliant Bored of Lunch

iusedtobeasize8 · 05/02/2023 17:22

Leg of lamb with all the trimmings

Brewskipa · 05/02/2023 17:23

DP and I just had chicken bacon and leek pie with crispy potatoes and cauliflower. DS had quorn chicken style pieces in a bbq sauce, crispy potatoes and raw carrots.

toastofthetown · 05/02/2023 17:23

Leek risotto, maybe with salad if the leaves leftover from Friday are still looking healthy.

hryllilegur · 05/02/2023 17:26

Chicken drumsticks with potato and carrot rosti waffles and broccoli.

It sounds like a raid the freezer meal but I am actually making it all from basic ingredients. 🤣

Sunday roast

BridieConvert · 05/02/2023 17:32

We had pizza and chips cause we haven't been shopping yet and that was in the freezer!

PrincessHoneysuckle · 05/02/2023 17:34

Crispy duck.

What's on for dinner tonight?
TheMousePipes · 05/02/2023 17:36

Slow roast shoulder of pork in beer with all the usual accompanying shizzle and Yorkshire puddings as it’s apparently their day today. Followed by cherry pie and custard.

minipie · 05/02/2023 17:37

Spinach pea and cheese risotto as we have a load of cheese to use up. Although now I want crispy duck.

LiverBurd · 05/02/2023 17:39

This lamb biriyani

It's the kid's absolute favourite and so easy to make.

A few weeks ago I made a goodwill pie - veggie, quite complicated, so given the amount of work involved I made a large one and froze the leftovers in slices. Tonight we will have some of that warmed through, plus a warm salad of roasted carrots, cauliflower and courgette with a drizzle of garlic yogurt and a sprinkling of dukkah, plus a kale salad with a tahini dressing. I don't all that often do anything as faffy as this but I've been doing it in stages on and off all afternoon so it doesn't feel too onerous, and there will be lots of salad leftovers for tomorrow and Tuesday, so win win. (We're not vegetarian, but do love our vegetables.)

Baldieheid · 05/02/2023 17:44

Chicken pie with roast spuds, brocolli and green beans, with gravy.

MusicWithRocksIn · 05/02/2023 17:47

Indian takeaway! That's not very helpful to you though. Dinners planned for the next few days are:

Stir fry (pork for the meat eaters, tofu for me)
Spag bol/lentil spag bol
Jacket potatoes with cheese & beans
Home made pizza & salad

CashierNumberSixPlease · 05/02/2023 17:53

Roast chicken. DP is having roast potatoes, (he's also having pigs in blankest that we found at the bottom of the freezer), I'm having mash. Both having mixed veg.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 05/02/2023 17:54

Nigella's bloody gorgeous Indian Spiced Chicken and Potato Traybake.

Probablymagrat · 05/02/2023 17:55

HuntingoftheSnark · 05/02/2023 17:55

I'm putting some curly fries in the air fryer. That's it.

BigcatLittlecat · 05/02/2023 18:01

We are having caravan chicken!
Roast chicken with boiled potatoes, peas and gravy! Too tired to do full roast!

bostonchamps · 05/02/2023 18:08

Spatcock chicken, I've stuffed a load of pesto under the skin. Made a bread sauce with some leftover focaccia. Roasted pumpkin, some buttered cabbage. And yorkies!

AtleastitsnotMonday · 05/02/2023 18:46

I'm trying to make space in the freezer so chicken, then Christmas swede, carrot and parsnip mash, Christmas bread sauce, Christmas stuffing, then fresh broccoli and leeks. Makes for a very low effort Sunday dinner!
